CARE Volunteer Program
CARE at the Sexual Assault Resource Center is the UC San Diego confidential survivor support and education office for students, staff and faculty impacted by sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking. Our Volunteer Program aims to create a space for students to be actively engaged with our office’s prevention efforts without the longer-term commitment of our internship program.
The CARE at SARC Volunteer Program will offer quarterly drop-in events for students to work on a volunteer activity that will support CARE at SARC’s efforts on campus or partner efforts in the community. This volunteer opportunity is for students interested in preventing sexual violence on campus, supporting survivors of violence and contributing to CARE at SARC’s growth.
If you have questions about CARE’s Volunteer Program after reviewing all the information on this page, please email careinfo@ucsd.edu.
Note: Due to the confidential nature of our office, volunteers support prevention and outreach efforts and have no direct involvement with survivor support services.
Volunteer Roles
Our volunteer program will offer volunteer opportunities once per quarter and will pause during the summer. Volunteers will be accepted on a rolling basis and informed about upcoming volunteer opportunities at the start of each quarter.
Please fill out this short Student Involvement Interest Form if you want to be added to our interest list. Students will be notified once dates for the volunteer event are scheduled at the start of each quarter.
